For those who have not yet noticed it the Las Venturas Playground SA-MP server has a new administrator, (UvH)sTriKeR was promoted about 23 hours ago. He was selected by the Las Venturas Playground crew to join it. Due to recent changes on Las Venturas Playground the moderator level is no longer used and (UvH)sTriKeR has the luck to be promoted directly to Administrator.
On behalf of the Las Venturas Playground crew members, I would like to congratulate (UvH)sTriKeR on his promotion!
An introduction interview with (UvH)sTriKeR.
What kind of player are you, which aspects of the server do you like the most?
Normally deathmatch, but after years of doing that I got bored of it, so I'm helping and playing with some friends. I really like having fun ingame like cruising, doing chases etc.
I see you are in a clan. How long have you been in it? Does the gang life suit you?
I joined the UvH-clan in February 2011. And yes, I enjoy myself wearing the clan tag.
What other games do you enjoy? Do you use any other LVP services?
I play Left 4 Dead and SA-MP right now.
How did you discover the LVP community?
Hmm, I first started to play in a server called "Bakura Bakufu" and kept playing there for a few weeks. But due to a lot of hackers, I decided to quit that server and start looking for new ones. In that time I visited LittleWhitey's but I didn't like it much. I kept looking around for more servers and eventually found LVP. At the time I was having a really busy life, but I found time to join LVP a few times around July 2007. I couldn't play much till late in 2009, which is when I registered.
Do you have a nice newbie story for us?
:)
What happened the first time you joined LVP?
When I first started to play in LVP I really was newb. The first thing that come trough my mind was how to make money. And so there in LVP for a few days, I became close to a player named GothicDolls who is known as SaDistHO right now. He helped me with cash and has shown me around the server. After that I started to deathmatch but not much because I was a newb in that as well :p Around that time I was friends with a clan mate, (UvH)dEm0n who started to teach me how to fight with running weapons.
Now you have been promoted, what would you like to say to the LVP community?
Uhm... Nothing much.
A comment to being promoted perhaps?
It's nice to been chosen to be an administrator and help out the community. I was not expecting to be promoted, so this comes as a surprise.
You have been an administrator for 19 hours have you been ingame yet?
I'm ingame right now :D

Las Venturas Playground is one of the oldest SA-MP Servers still around, founded mere hours after the very first public release of San Andreas: Multiplayer. In five and a half years, we have more than 82,000 registered members whom, together, enjoyed 54,000 days of in-game time and killed 7,250,000 other players. Our forum has almost 400,000 posts, and our WhatPulse team reached the milestone of 1 billion keys today.
Those are impressive numbers, but as many of you will have noticed, in more recent times Las Venturas Playground has slowed down. Player counts have decreased significantly and general activity around our network is much lower than it used to be. It is time for a change, a breath of fresh air. Today, I'm happy to present a brand new Management for Las Venturas Playground!
Sander and Rutger will remain Senior Management, and continue their duties as owners of Las Venturas Playground. I, MrBondt, will take on the role of Strategic Manager, being responsible for strategical and technical aspects of the server. On top of that, there are three new members I'd like to introduce to you.
tBKwtWS - Staff Manager
Las Venturas Playground's recent wonderful increase of player counts should come together with new activity from the Staff. As our website states, "LVP is one of the largest SA-MP communities around on the internet", this is the time during which there should be Staff in-game to aid in upholding this reputation.
Recently, there have been a lot of comments on the rules, a debate about which has started within the Staff. Several good suggestions have been made and I am confident we can get the majority of them implemented. The Staff, as a whole, is going to get more influence in the decision making process and there will be much attention for input from the Staff, applying the ancient motto "The infantry should know what is going on at the battlefield". By having a more involved Staff who can deal with a much clearer Management structure, I hope we can improve our communication, bringing in ideas and criticism at a much faster pace. Eventually this will lead to more people in the community being heard.
Rien - Marketing Manager
I've taken on the duty of promoting Las Venturas Playground in an effort to attract new players, while keeping the current ones happy. I'm going to arrange for advertisements, actions and specials in light of this effort, for which I will be strongly working together with the other Managers. While we've only just started with researching opportunities to reach this goal, things will be going rather quickly so expect a lot of upcoming noise!
Ryan (MacSto) - External Activities Manager
I am pleased to be joining the Las Venturas Playground Management as the External Activities Manager. I will be working closely with the rest of the Management team to expand LVP's services to great lengths. Specifically, the non-GTA San Andreas services. However, this does not mean that I will not stay closely involved with SA:MP. I have already been working closely with the Management since April of this year with the Minecraft server, so I hope to make a smooth transition to Management and start carrying out my duties as soon as possible. I appreciate this opportunity, and I hope to make the most of your experience here as Las Venturas Playground.
Please join me in congratulating tBKwtWS, Rien and MacSto with their new positions! Furthermore, I'd like to thank Dennis, estroe, Fireburn, FiXeR, Harry, Lithirm, Matthias, ScarTissue[NL], slein and Wesley for the excellence with which they executed their duties as former Management Members of Las Venturas Playground. Each of them will remain active within the community and some will strongly cooperate with the new Management Members.

There are a ton of players on Las Venturas Playground. Many of them registered to play for a day, some for a week or for a month, but only a few hundred people has been around for years. Today we'd like to highlight one of these players, eF.Pedro.
Pedro has been around on the server since 2007, has played more than 2,600 hours on the server and has been involved with murders over 50,000 times, about half of which were his own. He won almost 5,000 reaction tests and is currently, after TEF, the second best overall player on Las Venturas Playground. Besides that, he's active in the LVP Beta Team and often shares his opinion, which is very much appreciated. We asked eF.Pedro a few questions about his involvement in the server.
Please join me in congratulating eF.Pedro with his Appreciation Award, something we believe he strongly deserved due to his continuous dedication towards LVP. Pedro, on behalf of all of LVP, I hope that you will be around here for much, much longer!
You joined LVP well over three years ago, what persuaded you to do so?
eF.Pedro: Grand Theft Auto and football games were always the types of games I preferred most. Before I started playing SA:MP, I had already completed the San Andreas missions on the computer and GTA III and GTA Vice City on the Playstation 2. I did join LVP in 2007 for the first time, when three school mates of mine showed me SA:MP and LVP. As I already was a GTA fan, I got even more addicted to it at that time.
In those three years, you've been in-game for almost 2,700 hours. Insane! What kept it most interesting for you?
eF.Pedro: Well, the main reason to explain it (as I said before) is that I really used to like this game and obviously the server itself. Not only the server, but also the community in general. I also didn't play that many online games before, so basically everything was pretty much new for me. Also, 2,700 hours is indeed a lot of time for a single game, but I dare to say that 90% of the time I was playing SA:MP was spent on LVP. I rarely join the server with another account than my own, except before registering myself as I had already had been playing since 2007 as a guest.
Based on your melee stats, you seem to be a deathmatcher. Your fun statistics show that you also play a lot of mini-games, what has your preference?
eF.Pedro: I should probably say that I like everything, because I really do. When I join the server, the thing that makes me decide whether I'm going to have some duels, I'm going to organize or join a cruise, play a minigame or even to have some random fights "in the streets", is which other players are online at the moment. I'm part of a clan called Excessive Fighting of which Kase is one of the leaders and I'm part of the Management, together with Munch and Deather. If I join LVP and there are some eF members online as well, then we'll probably challenge and fight others clans who are online at the same moment.
Are there any other people who were by your side over the course of these years?
eF.Pedro: The people who I mentioned in my first answer, my friends in real life, have already left SA:MP. They weren't only around for a few months. We still had some good times on Las Venturas Playground though.
I've been meeting many other people after that. Besides all the people from Excessive Fighting, there were cool guys such as DVcam, McLaine and TopSpeed, who I used to play with since 2008 / 2009. Two of them (DVcam and TopSpeed) aren't that active anymore, but McLaine's still around and belongs to the Excessive Fighting team. These are just the ones that I really spent more time playing with, I've had great times with other people as well.
As some of you might realize, I am still around on forums, but I'm not as active in-game anymore as I used to be. I just started University and can't really waste my time like that anymore, and, obviously, after playing the game for such a long time, it's not as cool as it used to be either :).
