We all know some of you are interested in the new Las Venturas Playground gamemode. With over 70 people requesting to be a betatester, ten developers and frequent questions involving the release date, there isn't much one can use to deny this fact. Until now, most information has been private until the final release, however, this will change for the new gamemode!
We have setup a simple blog, based upon the forum itself, on which all developers are allowed to post information about their newly created features. This has a number of advantages, as well as disadvantages. Of course, it allows you to be informed about updates and progress at all times, but this does also mean that the release won't hold a lot of suprises anymore. The rules for developers are quite simple: they are allowed to post anything they like, in-depth information, screenshots and even video's involving the to-be-formed betateam, as soon as their feature has been completed and tested. This means that, at the peak of development, there will be multiple updates every week!
As is the case with most forums, there are a number of rules attached to the blog itself. First of all, it isn't a place to request entirely new features. If the post tells you about a new gang-base, you are not supposed to blatantly ask about the race-features. You are, however, allowed to ask about in-depth information of the system: available features, weapons and changes compared to our current systems. It's up to the developer whether he answers your questions or not!
The new blog can be found on this location, and you are able to reply to posts using your forum account. Have fun posting!
On behalf of the LVP Development Team,
Peter

Sometimes it takes a while before you hear about updates. It can be tickets completed on our changelog, perhaps you heard a rumour of maybe you are part of a testing team which already played the new gamemode. No matter which one it is: this blog will have frequent news. Rather than being silent about new features, we have allowed all developers to publish their newly created feature using this blog.
What exactly does this mean? Well, it's quite simple, this blog will have very frequent updates, sometimes multiple posts in just a week about the newest Las Venturas Playground 3.0 features. There will be video's to watch, screenshots and maybe discussions about possible enhancements as well. This does not mean, however, that you're free to request entirely new features in here, as there already is a forum dedicated to that.
Very soon the first update will appear on here in the next few days, announcing that the Core of the new gamemode has been completed, which also is the official start sign for the other developers to get started on creating the new features. The feature lineup has already been discussed, and an extensive collection of unique, exciting and cool features are pending to be included by one of our developers!

Some of you might have noticed that it's getting pretty silent around announcements, updates and rumours about Las Venturas Playground. Is anything happening, going to happen soon or will the server just die out slowly? Don't worry, in the past few months a number of plans have been activated to improve the quality of Las Venturas Playground, as well as the other services we offer.
The most popular plan will be our entirely new gamemode: Las Venturas Playground 3.0. A mysterious gamemode of which no details have been released so far, or at least, not much. Right now, we're nearly leaving the earliest development phase, which means that all the developers will be able to start programming. Database communication is fully working, as well as the IRC Echo-mechanisms and various other important Core features, which are required for the rest of the gamemode. Starting now, development of the new modular-setup gamemode will go rapidly, and we'll soon be setting up a blog on which the developers will give you sneak previews once every while.
Another thing we're working on is something that will be new to all of you, including the administrators and other crew: the Management will be detached from the GTA Servers. This will probably sound more shocking than it is, but especially in the next few months, nothing will really change. In time, however, it means that not the entire Management will be focusing on the GTA-gameservers anymore, which exactly is the reason why we decided to take this measure. This will be replaced by a new company called LVP Media, which will have a number of representatives responsible for the SA-MP servers. We will also be opening new websites, starting new projects and get involved with other games as well.
Of course, this will have a number of consequences for the forums. Right now, these forums are stand-alone and include only Las Venturas Playground. We expect to have a new forum up-and-running within a few weeks for Las Venturas Playground, of which this forum, including all its posts and members, will become a child-board. This does, however, not change anything to the way you visit these forums. The looks might change a bit, your account ID may change, topic-numbers will be changing, but next to that you will, when visiting forum.sa-mp.nl, not notice anything about the change. The new, larger forum, will also include our new projects, websites and other activities.
More updates and news on these subjects will follow shortly, as well as the location of the upcoming development blog. Stay tuned, and for now, have fun posting- and playing on Las Venturas Playground!
