Leaving Las Venturas Playground

Good afternoon all,
Las Venturas Playground currently is one of the largest San Andreas: Multiplayer servers around. With almost 40 thousand registered players, a forum with over one hundred thousand posts and active IRC channels peaking at about 100 simultaneous users, it can easily be said that the original idea has become a huge success.
LVP was founded back in May 2006, as a private server for people from the Gathering of Tweakers (GoT) forum to play GTA on. It was called the GoT Server, had a player limit of 24 players and a small modified LVDMod gamemode, with a nice environment to play on. The server was a good success, more and more people decided to play until we renamed the server to Las Venturas Playground in August 2006. It was quite a large change: the default language became English, TweakGaming sponsored us a larger, 100 player server and new crewmembers were hired on a daily basis. In the past few years we have experienced heavy DDoS-attacks, extensive downtimes and internal crisises on a weekly basis. However, the time has come to move on.
I step down as the founder of Las Venturas Playground, and Badeend and Nakebod will both be the new owners of Las Venturas Playground. I will, however, keep my administrator rights, but I will not officially be a part of the crew. Thank you very much for the great, enjoyable times in the last few years, and hopefully many years to come.
