How to join our WhatPulse team

WhatPulse is a program that monitors how much you type, how often you click, and how far you actually move your mouse. Despite this initial introduction, we can guarantee that it is not any kind of spyware or keylogger. It merely sends three numbers to the WhatPulse server - the amount of keys, clicks, and meters your mouse has moved.

Since the 6th of October, Las Venturas Playground has had their own WhatPulse sub-team, and we've been growing quite rapidly ever since. At this moment we are ranked 2nd in the DPC team. The program is not really useful, it's merely some statistics about how much you type. Currently, statistics of the LVP sub-team can be found on this page. Our sub-team is part of a larger team, Dutch Power Cows, as that's where LVP originated.

Why should I join?

There's no real purpose, as stated before. It's just nice to know how much you actually type and move your mouse. To make it somewhat more attractive to join, we have included these statistics in your normal profile: the IRC "!players" command will show the amount of keys and clicks you have gathered, they're visisble on the forums and of course on this website.

On top of that, starting with this new website our WhatPulse statistics will be available on here as well. The original WhatPulse topic will continue to update, of course.

What do I have to do in order to install it?

That's quite simple. Follow these simple steps and you'll be registered in no time.

  • Create an account on WhatPulse, making sure to prefix your nickname with "[LVP]" (which could be "[LVP]Nickname"). After you've registered, download the software and install it. This program utilizes less than one megabyte of memory and absolutely no processor-power at all, so you'll barely notice it running in the background.
  • Go to your team page and join the Dutch Power Cows (DPC for short), which is currently the best team on WhatPulse!
  • Inform a Management member or Website Administrator about your joining and give them your nickname. The next day your statistics should be visible.
  • Right-click the little "W" icon in your system tray and select "Pulse!" This will update your keys and other statistics on LVP as well. Again, updating will take about 24 hours.

All members of the Las Venturas Playground WhatPulse team can be found on the WhatPulse statistics page. Thank you and good luck!
